Russian Railways sees grain transportation growth by 8–12% in 2020
MOSCOW, Feb 26 (PRIME) -- Russian Railways expects an 8–12% increase in rail grain transportation in 2020 thanks to a higher gross grain harvest in the 2019–2020 agricultural year, better grain quality of the 2019 harvest, and rising consumption by the key importers,, Deputy Director of the Ñorporate Service Department Dmitry Gorokh said in the newspaper of the company released on Wednesday.
“The growth of railway delivery of grain is expected to amount to anywhere from 8% until 12% in 2020 as compared with 2019,” Gorokh said.
